Alan Turing: Father of artificial intelligence
In 2014, with the release of an American thriller movie The Imitation Game based on the life of Alan Turing, who in the film is hired to decrypt German intelligence codes for the British government during World War II; we come to realize that, this technology of artificial intelligence has already come into our computers and cell phones and started serving us discreetly.

Her: Story of evolved OSes
It was again a 2013 American romantic science fiction comedy-drama film; which reveals that the OSes have evolved beyond their human companions and are going away to continue the exploration of their existence; The OSes' accelerated learning capabilities and altered perception of time as primary causes for OS dissatisfaction with their current existence.

“Our thinking then will be a hybrid of biological and non-biological thinking. We’ll be able to extend our limitations and think in the cloud. We’re going to put gateways to the cloud in our brains,”

“We’re going to gradually merge and enhance ourselves. In my view, that’s the nature of being human – we transcend our limitations.”

The beautiful human minds have touched the ultimate frontiers of thoughts/researches in all the fields of Physics and Metaphysics in last 200 years of combined human civilization

Mere thinking the many possibilities of cloud-powered brains....just thrills !!

Soon we all shall be able to extend our limitations and think in the cloud, first with gateways in our hands and then embedded nanobots in our brain cells itself !!

Rock painting of Singhanpur caves in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is very rich in rock paintings ranging in age from Mesolithic to Historical period, some of the rock paintings date back even to prehistoric period. Many of the rock paintings throw interesting light on the life ways and art of Early Man.

Some related blog links:

By far the most prolific rock art sites in the state of Chhattisgarh are located in the district of Raigarh at Singhanpur,

"The first discovery of rock art in Chhattisgarh was made in 1910 by C.W. Anderson, an engineer in the Bengal/Nagpur Railways, ably assisted by C.J. Wellington (from 1910 to 1913). Mention of such work, especially at Singhanpur in Raigarh Dist., was made in 1918 (Anderson, 1918) and subsequently in a few publications. It was followed by the works of P. Brown (1923 a, b; 1953), A.N. Dutta (1927), M. Ghosh (1932), L.P. Pandey (1933), D.H. Gordon (1939), J.P. Gupta (1960, 1967), P. Mitra (1961) and S.K Pandey, (1969) and V.S. Wakankar (1973), adding considerably to our knowledge about rock art in this area. However, no serious work has been undertaken on this subject in Chhattisgarh during the last two decades in the light of new techniques of study that have become available in recent years."

Extra-terrestrial, UFOs and Aliens in rock paintings of Chhattisgarh

Rock painting is an ancient art form. They are mysterious and unexplained, when they depict extra-terrestrials, aliens and UFOs.

Well, this is not something new as such cave paintings have been found all over the world, as the French cave of Pech Merle which are about 20,000 years old; 5,000 years old paintings by native Aborigines in Kimberley, Australia and petroglyphs discovered in Utah in the Barrier Canyon and many ancient pyramids built by different civilizations have the same depiction of structure of any aliens visited or imaginations/fancy by the ancient with mythical stories left behind !!

People of prehistoric times either have imagined or have seen or have come in contact with; shall remain a point of research as it is hard to establish the fact. Interesting is the fact that natural colors have hardly faded since thousands of years,

Recently (Times of India/July 15th, 2014) such was a report on 10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs in Charama region in Kanker district in tribal Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, located about 130km from Raipur, the caves come under village Chandeli and Gotitola.

"The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn't have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject," archaeologist JR Bhagat told TOI. Folic acid efficacy in primary prevention of stroke

New studies in randomized clinical trials on adults with hypertension have shown that
the vitamin B is effective in preventing stroke.
As in the research appeared in the September 18, 2013 issue of the medical journal of American Academy of Neurology says:

Vitamin B lowered the risk of stroke in the studies overall by seven percent. However, taking supplements did not appear to affect the severity of strokes or risk of death from stroke.
Folic acid, a supplemental form of folate (vitamin B9), which is often found in fortified cereals, appeared to reduce the effect of vitamin B. Researchers did not find a reduction in stroke risk for vitamin B12.
"Based on our results, the ability of vitamin B to reduce stroke risk may be influenced by a number of other factors such as the body's absorption rate, the amount of folic acid or vitamin B12 concentration in the blood, and whether a person has kidney disease or high blood pressure," said Yuming. "Before you begin taking any supplements, you should always talk to your doctor."
In another study (JAMA - Journal of the American Medical Association/March 15, 2015) that included more than 20,000 adults in China with high blood pressure but without a history of stroke or heart attack, the combined use of the hypertension medication enalapril and folic acid, compared with enalapril alone, significantly reduced the risk of first stroke, according to a study.

"The CSPPT is the first large-scale randomized trial to test the hypothesis using individual measures of baseline folate levels. In this population without folic acid fortification, we observed considerable individual variation in plasma folate levels and clearly showed that the beneficial effect appeared to be more pronounced in participants with lower folate levels."

"We speculate that even in countries with folic acid fortification and widespread use of folic acid supplements such as in the United States and Canada, there may still be room to further reduce stroke incidence using more targeted folic acid therapy -- in particular, among those with the TT genotype and low or moderate folate levels."

Vibrational bond

The lightweight muonium atom would move rapidly between two heavy bromine atoms,
“like a Ping Pong ball bouncing between two bowling balls,”
Donald Fleming, a University of British Columbia chemist involved with the experiment says.
The oscillating atom would briefly hold the two bromine atoms together and reduce the overall energy.

In the vibrational bond muonium would 'bounce' between the two bromine atoms
This vibrational bond seems to break the law of chemistry that states
if you increase the temperature, the rate of reaction will speed up.
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/anie.201408211/abstract
Replacing atoms electrons with more exotic sub-atomic particles
Muonium and bromine were indeed forming a new type of temporary bond. Its vibrational nature lowered the total energy of the intermediate bromine-muonium structure—thereby explaining why the reaction slowed even though the temperature was rising.
Donald Fleming suggested that the BrMuBr radical can exist, and is not merely a theoretical construct.
*Muonium (Mu) - a strange, hydrogen isotope made up of an antimuon and an electron

The team reported its results last December in Angewandte Chemie International Edition, a publication of the German Chemical Society. The work confirms that vibrational bonds—fleeting though they may be—should be added to the list of known chemical bonds. And although the bromine-muonium reaction was an “ideal” system to verify vibrational bonding, Fleming predicts the phenomenon also occurs in other reactions between heavy and light atoms.

Consciousness is a state of matter

At the beginning of the 20th century,
a group of young physicists embarked on a quest
to explain a few strange but seemingly small anomalies
in our understanding of the universe.
In deriving the new theories of relativity and quantum mechanics, they ended up changing the way we comprehend the cosmos.
original research publication: http://arxiv.org/abs/1401.1219
Max Tegmark, a theoretical physicist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, he shows how the question of consciousness can be formulated in terms of quantum mechanics and information theory.

Tegmark’s approach is to think of consciousness as a state of matter, like a solid, a liquid or a gas. “I conjecture that consciousness can be understood as yet another state of matter. Just as there are many types of liquids, there are many types of consciousness,” he says.

The new approach to consciousness has come from outside the physics community, principally from neuroscientists such as Giulio Tononi at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

In 2008, Tononi proposed that a system demonstrating consciousness must have two specific traits. First, the system must be able to store and process large amounts of information. In other words consciousness is essentially a phenomenon of information.

And second, this information must be integrated in a unified whole so that it is impossible to divide into independent parts. That reflects the experience that each instance of consciousness is a unified whole that cannot be decomposed into separate components.

Tegmark points out that any information stored in a special network known as a Hopfield neural net automatically has this error-correcting facility.

Universe is a hologram in Indian mythology

The Hindu trinity is of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. They are respectively the creator, preserver and destroyer of the universe.
The Trimurti (trinity) of Hinduism
at Elephanta Island in Mumbai.
Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Each God in the trinity has his consort. To Brahma is Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge. For Vishnu is Lakshmi, the Goddess of love, beauty and delight. For Shiva is Kali (Parvati) , the Goddess of power, destruction and transformation. These are the three main forms of the Goddess, as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are the three main forms of the God.(thankfully shared from:http://www.hindunet.org/god/trinity/)
The "Trimūrti" is a concept in Hinduism "in which the cosmic functions of creation, maintenance, and destruction are personified by the forms of Brahma the creator, Vishnu the maintainer or preserver and Shiva the destroyer or transformer." These three gods have been called "the Hindu triad" or the "Great Trinity", often addressed as "Brahma-Vishnu-Maheshwara."

Vishnu, the sustainer of the universe: Vishnu is the All-Pervading One. His name is derived from “vis’ in Sanskrit which means both ‘to spread’ and ‘to be present everywhere’.

Vishnu exist as the total energy of universe: Even when there was Nothing, there was Vishnu, present as a nameless, formless, dormant energy. In this un-manifested (nirguna) state, even Vishnu was not aware of his own being. He just was. Just because he was not perceived, does not mean he did not exist.

Universe as the dream of Vishnu: In this Nothingness, when the first ripple of awareness stirred , spontaneously and of its own will, the formless energy became Vishnu, the Supreme Being, Parabrahman.
As Parabrahma, Vishnu lies in a dream like state on the serpent Adisesha Ananta who is Time, without beginning or end. Ananta floats for all eternity on the waters of the Ksheer Sagar (the ocean of Cosmic Consciousness).

Vishnu's dream world
pic credit: http://mesosyn.com/hindu-5.html
When Brahma begins the process of Creation, it is Vishnu who expands into everything and becomes part of everything. Now he is Brahman, the Cosmic Consciousness.

As if he is seeing a dream, Vishnu watches Brahma create the Universe. By the act of watching his dream, Vishnu sustains the Universe. When Vishnu wakes from his dream one cycle of Creation ends.

From the Nirguna Brahman (formless energy) Vishnu thus becomes Saguna Brahman, a God with forms and attributes. Vishnu is now the Supreme Lord, Parameshwar.

At times, when world descends into total chaos, Lord Vishnu comes to its rescue in the form of an Avatar, or incarnation.
The ten incarnations of Vishnu in the physical world are:
Matsya (fish), Kurma (turtle), Varaha (boar), Narasimha (man-lion), Vamana (dwarf), Parashurama (warrior-priest), Rama ( man who was like God), Krishna (God who was born as man), Buddha (the enlightened one), Kalki (horseman, who has not yet appeared)(thankfully referred/shared from:http://www.allabouthinduism.info/2013/03/08/vishnu-the-protector/)
